It's a restaurant in a hotel, but also open to the public. The food was good. The service was polite. I liked the avocado toast best. My son ordered a parfait and found it odd that is was spread on a plate that made it difficult to eat. I traded him for my avocado toast (after snagging a bite). The parfait was weird to eat, but good. There was some confusion with my wife's order. She didn't want a runny egg. They told her the egg in the toast was hard. It wasn't - it was runny. They went to fix it, the fix was still runny. She ended up ordering something else. With the confusion, they were very helpful and understanding. Then they comped her breakfast. I found that they did a good job with "conflict management" The inside is clean and comfortable and not noisy. I'd go back.

Was checking out of my hotel and needed to grab a quick bite to eat and conveniently Hoyt's is right there connected to the hotel. A great spot with good food that hit spot and was satisfying. Environment Hoyt's is connected to the Royal Sonesta. It's a beautiful clean space with a bar in the center of the space and seated dining around it. I went during lunch on a weekday so it was pretty quiet, which I love. Service Service was great. I sat at the bar and the bartender served me. He was amazing and very attentive and polite. Great service and hospitality. Really enjoyed him. The food came out quickly and was perfect. Food and drinks I kept it simple and had the cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. It was a really good burger. Juicy and tasty and it's hard to go wrong with sweet potato fries. Overall Really great place to stop by for dinner. I would definitely come back for the solid burger or try other things on the menu. I would for sure come back for a drink.

This restaurant was far more than I expected from a hotel restaurant. I'm posting because I was frustrated I couldn't find their menu online. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was friendly and worked really well together even when it was busy.

Juan waited on us and was excellent. Reviews were really old and hours showed it was closed so I wasn't expecting much but The old fashioneds were good and the citrus crab pasta was full of crab and really good. Burger was OK with tons of fries. I'd go back. Back for breakfast which again was excellent. Thank you Juan for taking such good care of us. My latte was delicious as was the omelet and rye bread! Will definitely be back if in the area again. Juan is the best!

We stayed at the Royal Sonesta for the weekend. We ate and had drinks at Hoyt's every day whether for breakfast, lunch or drinks at night and everything was delicious! Ordered the 3 egg omelette for breakfast, toast and side of fruit and coffee! Delicious and filling!! Had the chicken Caesar salad twice while we were here since I liked it so much! Service was amazing day and night! Michael was very friendly and helpful! We were very happy to have such a great restaurant/bar attached to our hotel! Would definitely come back! Thanks!

Great food and service. I was in town at the Royal Sonesta Hotel and where the restaurant is located. I love this hotel and staff but never ate at the small bistro. Hoyts menu for brunch was thorough with solid options. I ordered the short rib skillet with eggs and hash. My sister ordered granola pancakes. All of it was well done and flavorful. The waiter also offered suggestions on things to do around town if you weren't from the area. Pricing is reasonable and seating was fast. Did I mention this entire boutique hotel and staff are amazing and has great views of the Chicago River/River North? It really is a hidden gem, but don't tell anyone!

We stayed in the hotel next to Hoyt's for breakfast and stopped in on our last morning. It was definitely worth it! The service was amazing, very quick and efficient and all of the staff were friendly. I ordered the eggs benedict with the hash browns. Oh my gosh the hash browns were absolutely amazing! The eggs benedict was on a delicious English muffin - definitely very high quality ingredients. The coffee was also surprisingly great for a restaurant in a hotel! We stopped in the day after the St. Patrick's parade and regretfully she informed us they were out of all brunch drinks. However, about halfway through the meal she informed they had the stuff to make me a mimosa - it looked like they might have gone to get the ingredients! Definitely top notch service and will absolutely be coming back for breakfast / brunch!
